AOL to provide 5GB of online storage for free

Today AOL made an announcement that finally reveals how they plan to use Xdrive, an online storage company they purchased last year.

They will offer anyone with an AOL or AIM screenname 5GB of storage. Not a small item given the number of users within the AIM namespace. This new feature will start in September.
