For Video Online: The Shorter, the Better

Or so says the AP-AOL Video poll reference in this Wired story. As video continues to improve online and the home media systems mature and move closer and closer to the living room these numbers will increase. I know I prefer to keep a few long form shows on the laptop for when I am on a flight or stuck offline waiting somewhere. Having your entertainment travel with you is very nice.  And just watch as the iPod and other portable media players increase the screen size to make them better suited for longer content.

Overall, more than half of internet users have watched or downloaded video. News clips were the most popular, seen by 72 percent of online video viewers, followed by short movie and TV clips, music videos, sports highlights and user-generated amateur videos.

Itunes gets most of the credit in pushing video to the mainstream and now most networks are working on their own play at delivering content directly to consumers.  Just check out our offerings.
