Now we extend our portfolio with another top tier sports league and continue to operate one of the best collections of web properties anywhere.
As expected, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. will take over the operations of NBA TV and NBA.com as part of a new joint venture with the National Basketball Association.

TBS, Inc. will handle programming, marketing and technical operations for the 12-million subscriber NBA TV digital television network, as well as the league’s NBA.com site, the league’s NBA League Pass out-of-market game package and the NBA’s broadband and wireless businesses.

True story.. . This guy sees an ad in the paper – ’63 Corvette, mint condition, $100, and a phone number. The guy calls right away and asks if the car is still available. A woman says, “Yes, come and get it.”. . Right away, he grabs a friend and they drive out to get the car. There it is. Mint condition. Runs great. The woman accepts the $100, and hands over the keys and title. The guy is really puzzled. He can’t resist. So he asks, “Why are you selling this fabulous car for only $100?. . She answers, “Well, my husband is down in Florida with his new girlfriend. He keeps calling to have things sent down. Well, apparently, he’s run out of money, and he asked me to sell the Vette.”
