A great night last night at Kevin Rathbun’s Steak to celebrate his (and his brother’s) Iron Chef America appearance. It was also a good cause as the event benefited the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
They took on Bobby Flay and beat him:
Chef Kevin Rathbun became the first Georgia Chef to defeat
an Iron Chef on Sunday nights Iron Chef America Series. Kevin and his brother, aka, “The Rathbun Brothers” commanded the show and created five different dishes with the “secret ingredient” of Elk.
The official press release is here. If you look at the official picture you can see me just over his arm as he high fives at the announcement. My friends Dave and Mike are just to my right and my wife is clapping just behind him.
It was a fun event and the food was great. We can’t wait to go back and give the restaurant a try in its normal setup.

Great it was great seeing you and Amber …Thanks for supporting the Food Bank…What a fun event… Kevin, Cliff, Curt and Doug know how to have a good time… It was very kind of them holding this event to benefit us..
