So I found myself in front of the TV tonight and figured I would find something to fill the time before I fell into bed.  I am a huge basketball fan so any movie around the sport catches my attention.  I can’t recall how many basketball movies I have seen, but Hoosiers is my favorite.  Crossover is by far the worst one I have seen.  The story is pretty simple, the acting is mediocre at best, and the basketball action is lame.  It looks like they did recruit at least one or two from And 1 or similar but otherwise the players didn’t look like they could handle a Church league opponent.

Other than smiling at the acting job there at least was a reference to the Run N Shoot in Atlanta that occupies an old Kmart.  I have played in a few tournaments there years ago so it was fun to hear the reference.  I hadn’t thought much about Run N Shoot before this movie since Hoops Nation (a book on pickup basketball from ‘04) mentioned it.
