Twitter stole my blog mojo. If I can fit it in 140 chars then I'm not writing and intro, main paragraph and conclusion. It's hard for me to even come up with a blog topic nowadays.

Obviously Ted was the soul of Turner, it definitely misses something without him at the helm or at least as a figure head.

It's nice to finally see it up. The thing that bugs me a little bit, is that with all of the other elements, layering, and extra processes actually slow it down in some cases and cause graphic artifacts. I had the same issue with the animation of the image gallery, where it caused visible jerks. I haven't looked into the specifics of the page that are causing it. It is disheartening though that regardless of being optimized from a performance perspective, when it gets thrown in that shell that it effects the experience. Especially given that from a user's eye they see it as the modules fault and don't care or know that the shell is the weighted factor.

Good tip. I kept it on my account to avoid such an issue but it seems that even getting the discount means trouble.

It may still be in stock, but if you get any kind of corporate discount - even if the phone is in your name - AT&T has flagged your account and Apple can't process your purchase/upgrade.

I could have purchased 5 iPhones @ Perimeter yesterday, but I was stonewalled and told to go to an AT&T store, none of which have iPhones in stock.

I think you hit 2 prime points:
- ease of consumption
- growing choice.

Long tail is about increased pools of content. Some thoughts on the theory is that it will cut into viewing of more mainstream content as you viewers start to spend time in the tail. However, we haven't even seen all the viewers come to the space yet, so viewers moving their views from popular to the tail isn't as apparent yet.

Consumption is growing, which means views are growing. People that may not have typically consumed media at times will now because it is now more accessible to them. The potential audience hasn't matured, it's still in constant growth.

We may never see the "apparent" move over to the tail, because as consumption grows, viewers are in the tail and in the head. When it finally levels out, consumption in both places may also be stable where users aren't moving to the tail, because they are already going to it.

When this leveling will occur, who knows because new points of consumption are occurrnig rapidly.
