I read this today and it seemed like deja vu. Then I recalled a similar story I commented on several years ago.
It seems the verdict still stands – a bigger monitor helps you get more done. My trusty Dell monitor (I still think a second monitor is more useful – I seem to move faster when I keep a second screen to the side with seldom used but needed items).
Those assigned to work on the 24-inch monitor worked 52 percent faster than those using the 18-inch screens, and those using the dual 20-inch monitors worked 44 percent faster than those using the 18-inch. But don’t think throwing a 36-inch flat screen in front of your employees will get them moving at double speed. The study also found that using anything larger than 24 inches caused a dip in productivity.
